Munich

Hello and Greetings from Munich

We had a great sendoff from Paris with the fireworks over the Eiffel Tower and spending time with our friends, Joey, Lorie and their little girl, Chloe. Yesterday we hit Munich a little tired but after our first beer at Augustiner and some delicious sausages, we walked around Munich. By chance we were at Marienplatz, city hall, and got to see the clock strike 5 pm and see all the figures move under the clock. It was pretty cool, similar to the astrological clock in Prague.

After the clock show, we strolled over to the same beer garden that we had visited in 1998. Yesterday, the weather was beautiful here in Munich, just perfect for enjoying a beer outside with lots of other happy people. As the evening was setting, we strolled over to the Odeonplatz and discovered a new part of Munich we had not seen. It was a beautiful landscaped park and typical German style church. We ended the evening in the Hoffbrauhaus as every good evening should end in Munich, with a liter of beer and an Umpa Band.

We are going to spend today with Julie and her son Jake. We hope to make it to the English garden for some more beautiful weather. We have a late flight tonight to India so by tomorrow morning we will be in India!

Jake and I had such a good time with you guys today! I´m really glad we came to Munich. Y´all were so great with Jake! He hasn´t stopped talking about everything we did and saw (especially the tractor, funny pooping horse and tapping his foot to the band music). Hope your flight to India was smooth and problem free. Again, it was great seeing you! Love, Julie and Jake
