Our living room where we love to watch the 'horns games.
Well, we are in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn. It is an old Italian-American neighborhood with a good vibe and there are many young couples (like us). It feels very comfortable after Paris because it is a real neighborhood and not just high-rise buildings everywhere. We also decided on Brooklyn because we could get more space- we now have a guest bedroom and an office area. We are happy to finally have an actual area for guests-no more aerobed in the living room. Don't be too sad, we can always have it on hand for those of you who just like sleeping on an air mattress!!

Chris is back to work at PWC. I have signed up to start working at a soup kitchen two days a week while I search for a job. It isn't the best time to be looking (unemployment at a 14-year high and the financial crisis) so I decided to keep busy while I look. I'll be a coordinator on Mondays and just a regular volunteer on Thursdays. After my great experience at Mission Lunch at the American Cathedral, I am looking forward to meeting lots of great people here in Brooklyn.
